Louise Tremblay has over 30 years of experience in general business management in industries ranging from environmental to telecommunications and energy. She has held roles in executive and general management, business development, sales and marketing, as well as operations. For the past 10 years she has devoted her time to working with social services organizations. She was most recently the Director of Development at UNITI. She has worked with public, private and not-for-profit organizations and community members to create networks of agencies concerned with the abuse, neglect and self-neglect of adults. She was on the Board of Directors of Seniors Come Share Society for 7 years, three of which she served as Chair. She is Treasurer on the Semiahmoo Seniors Planning Table. Louise earned a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University where she conducted a research project on inclusive workplaces.
She was the recipient of the 2017 Surrey Board of Trade Woman in Business Award for not-for-profit leadership. Her volunteering activities include working for organizations providing services to seniors and people with disabilities and translating social science books for children with learning disabilities. Louise feels honoured and privileged to be working with collaborative groups who share her passion about developing inclusive and safe communities where diverse people can thrive and experience life to its fullest potential. Louise was born and raised in Quebec and has been a South Surrey/White Rock resident since 1993. In her spare time, she enjoys fiction writing, power walking and entertaining.
