Until There’s A Cure, There’s Care™

 Understanding Dementia with Teepa Snow

Seniors Come Share Society and SafeCare BC recently held a one-day conference with Teepa Snow to a sold-out audience of 300 attendees. Teepa is a highly-sought after presenter and one of the world’s leading advocates and educators for dementia care. The conference was open to health care workers and family caregivers – anyone looking for information on effective strategies for helping people with dementia during interactions and care delivery. The goal was to help reduce resistance to care and foster participation from the person living with dementia. Here’s what some attendees had to say:

“I found myself cringing at times because I have been doing exactly what she says not to do. I’ve learned so much today and it will change how I interact with my mother. Thank you!”

”Thanks for organizing such a great talk! It was great to be a part of it and I learned a lot of things which I can apply in my clinic.”

“The whole day was inspiring and educational. I found her teachings quite profound. Our director of care and some of our nurses and rec team were there and have brought some of her wisdom to our home already with much more to come.”
